About Soundcraftsmen
Soundcraftsmen was a high-end audio stereo component manufacturer founded in 1961 by Ralph Yeomans in Santa Ana, California. The company initially produced tube-type receivers and amplifiers before expanding into equalizers, preamplifiers, and power amplifiers, gaining a significant following among audiophiles during the 1970s and 1980s. Notably, Soundcraftsmen introduced one of the first preamplifier/equalizer combos. In 1991, the company was acquired by MTX and renamed MTX Soundcraftsmen, before discontinuing production in the mid-1990s. All their products were made at their Santa Ana facility.
