The sonicTransporter i9 (Gen 4) is Small Green Computer’s signature high-end music server designed for audiophiles demanding superior digital music playback and processing. It features a powerful Intel i9 14th Gen CPU capable of running complex DSP plug-ins, upsampling to DSD512, and handling large music libraries with rapid indexing. The server runs Roon Server pre-installed and supports additional music applications such as Audirvāna, HQPlayer, DLNA, Plex Media Server, and more. It offers optical Ethernet connectivity for noise isolation, a fanless silent design with passive cooling via side fins, and a billet aluminum case. Storage is flexible with a tool-less 2.5" SSD drive bay supporting up to 8TB internal SSD or external USB/NAS storage. The device includes a 19V 7A power supply, 1m LAN cable, and a 60-day Roon trial. It is designed for plug-and-play use with no keyboard or monitor needed, accessible via web browser from tablets or computers. The sonicTransporter i9 is compatible with Small Green Computer’s Rendu series players and exceeds Roon Labs hardware specifications.
