The Shindo Labs Petite Latour Field Coil Speakers are a refined two-way loudspeaker system that uses a 12" woofer combined with a high frequency horn and field coil drivers. They are designed to deliver a highly musical and immersive listening experience, sitting between the smaller Lafite and the full-size Latour Field Coil speakers in Shindo's lineup. These speakers feature a field coil power supply and are known for their exceptional soundstage, presence, and resolution, providing a unique and spellbinding musical dimension. The Petite Latour speakers maintain the same internal cabinet volume as the larger Latour models but are less deep and slightly wider to accommodate smaller rooms or listening spaces where size or cost of the full Latour would be prohibitive. They require a dedicated power supply for the field coils and are highly efficient with a sensitivity around 100 dB/W/m. The design includes hand-wound inductors and NOS oil capacitors in the crossover, tuned by ear for optimal sound quality. They are typically finished in high-quality veneers such as rosewood and weigh approximately 70 kg each. The speakers operate at 16 ohms impedance and have a frequency response roughly from 30 Hz to 20 kHz. Power handling is around 30 watts maximum input.
