About the LT

The Schröder LT tonearm is a unique design that achieves perfect tangential tracking across the record grooves by using a patented dual-pivot mechanism where the pivot itself pivots, allowing the stylus to move in a straight line. This eliminates headshell offset and thus requires no anti-skate. The arm features zero friction bearings for vertical movement and magnetic damping to nearly eliminate lateral resonance. The armwand is made from either snakewood or grenadill, treated extensively for stability against humidity and temperature changes, and the headshell is fabricated from a proprietary material combining stiffness, low mass, and high internal damping. The LT uses high-purity copper or silver wiring, cryogenically treated, and the bearings are run-in before assembly. It accommodates most cartridges with optional mounting plates of various weights and allows fine-tuning of setup parameters including VTF, azimuth, and SRA. Each unit is assembled and tested with at least 10 hours of playtime before shipping. The effective arm length is 250 mm with a pivot-to-spindle distance of 275 mm. The design results in essentially zero tracking error and zero lateral stylus loading, delivering natural, powerful sound with strong bass and detailed textures.
