The Revel Ultima Gem is a sophisticated two-way stand-mounted loudspeaker with a rear-facing bass reflex port and an additional rear tweeter to enhance sound dispersion and detail. It incorporates two 5-inch metal-cone bass/midrange drivers, a 1.1-inch fabric dome tweeter, and a 0.75-inch rear tweeter. The crossover frequency is measured at 2.3 kHz, delivering a frequency response from 70 Hz to 15 kHz within ±1 dB of the target curve, and -10 dB at 39 Hz (2π anechoic measurement). It has a nominal impedance of 6 ohms (minimum 4 ohms) and a sensitivity of 87 dB/W/m. The cabinet is crafted from high-density MDF with options for wood or aluminum side panels, weighing 40 lbs (18.2 kg) with wood panels and 48 lbs (21.8 kg) with aluminum panels. Dimensions are 19.5" (496 mm) high, 8.375" (213 mm) wide, and 17.375" (442 mm) deep. The speaker features advanced engineering including laser interferometry for reduced resonance and pistonic motion accuracy, full magnetic shielding on all drivers, and premium crossover components with Kimber wiring. It is suitable for both high-fidelity music listening and home theater use. Pricing starts at per pair for matte black finish with wood panels, with higher prices for high-gloss finishes and aluminum panels. Dedicated stands are available separately.
