About the Performa M22

The Revel Performa M22 is a compact, high-fidelity 2-way loudspeaker designed for demanding home entertainment systems. It features a 6.5-inch woofer with an Organic Ceramic Composite cone and a 2-inch diameter flat-wire edge-wound voice coil, combined with a proprietary Dual Neodymium magnetic motor system for excellent dynamic range and low distortion. The 1-inch titanium dome tweeter with advanced co-polymer surround and Ferrofluid cooling delivers smooth high-frequency response. The speaker cabinet is acoustically inert with 0.75-inch thick walls and internal bracing to minimize coloration and diffraction. The crossover is a high-order design at 2.2 kHz with physically separated filter boards to reduce distortion. The M22 offers a wide in-room frequency response of approximately 46 Hz to 16 kHz with ±1 dB accuracy, a sensitivity of 85 dB SPL, and a nominal impedance of 6.4 ohms. It includes rear panel controls for tweeter and midrange/bass level adjustment and boundary compensation for placement versatility. Dimensions are 8.625" (W) x 14.5" (H) x 11.875" (D) including grille, and weight is 24 lbs per speaker. The M22 is praised for its clarity, dynamic range, and refined midrange and bass performance, though it requires a capable amplifier due to its impedance characteristics. It was introduced as an evolution of the Performa M20, incorporating driver technology from Revel's F32 floor-standing model.
