The PMC Twenty Subwoofer is designed for both music and movie applications, incorporating PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass loading technology to deliver deep, distortion-free bass. It features two long-throw 170mm doped-paper cone bass drivers mounted in cast magnesium chassis, powered by a 400W Class-D amplifier with DSP control for filtering, bass management, and tuning. The subwoofer allows adjustment of input sensitivity, gain, volume, low-pass filter slope and frequency, phase, and includes a parametric equalizer for precise integration with main speakers. Connectivity includes balanced stereo analogue inputs (XLR) with RCA adapters and AES/EBU digital inputs. The cabinet is heavily braced with internal baffles and includes a high-mass resonance-absorbing plinth with reversible stainless steel spikes for stability. Available finishes include walnut, amarone, oak, and diamond black. Dimensions are approximately 577 x 200 x 516 mm, and it weighs 23 kg. The subwoofer is praised for its ability to seamlessly blend with speakers, enhancing the overall soundstage and bass detail without overpowering the system.
