About the IB2 SE

The PMC IB2 SE is a high-end passive 3‑way standmount/floorstanding loudspeaker that is widely regarded for its exceptional transparency, dynamics and studio‑grade reference performance. It uses PMC's PMC75 SE 75mm soft‑dome midrange driver, a 10-inch (250mm) carbon fibre and Nomex piston bass driver, and a 27mm SONOLEX soft‑dome ferrofluid‑cooled tweeter in a tri‑wired/tri‑amp capable configuration. Leveraging PMC's Advanced Transmission Line (ATL) bass‑loading with an effective line length of 2.4m, it delivers deep, controlled bass extension with a rated frequency response of 25Hz–25kHz. Originating from PMC's professional monitors and used by studios such as Kraftwerk, JVC Japan and Teldex Berlin, it has become a domestic reference loudspeaker, with carefully engineered passive crossovers built on military‑grade glass‑fibre PCBs for maximum transparency. The IB2 SE is supplied as a standmount design with matching dedicated stands. Available finishes are SE Grand Walnut, SE Amarone, SE Natural Oak and SE Jet Black, and a matching IB2‑C SE centre channel is offered for multichannel systems.
