The Onkyo PR-RZ5100 is an 11.2-channel THX Ultra2 Plus certified network A/V preamplifier/processor designed as a high-end home theater controller. It supports object-based surround formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with dual 32-bit DSP engines handling decoding and upmixing for immersive multidimensional audio. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA pre-outs are provided for all 11.2 channels, including outputs for dual subwoofers. The HDMI section offers eight inputs (one front) and two outputs, with 4K/60Hz pass-through supporting HDR10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDCP 2.2. 32-bit/384 kHz DACs are used for front channels and 32-bit/768 kHz DACs for surround channels, with Onkyo's VLSC circuitry applied for smoother analog output. Connectivity includes an MM phono input, USB audio playback, Ethernet, multi-room Zone 2 and Zone 3 outputs, and RS-232 and IR control for custom integration. Built-in AccuEQ room calibration with AccuReflex, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, AM/FM tuner with 40 presets, Spotify Connect, TIDAL, Pandora, and the Onkyo Controller app round out the feature set. Dimensions are approximately 435 x 198.5 x 465 mm, weighing approximately 14.5 kg.
