About the Tube DAC

The Nagra Tube DAC is a no-compromise digital-to-analog converter designed to deliver exceptional sound quality with total integrity and minimal coloration. It supports high-resolution digital formats including PCM 24-bit up to 384 kHz, DXD, and DSD 256. The analog section features a tube-driven output stage, hand-wound transformers, and ultra-high-performance drivers, eliminating traditional steep slope filters to preserve transients and harmonics for a natural sound. The unit uses 25 ultra-low-noise internal power supplies, with separate external power supplies for digital and analog sections to maintain isolation and optimal performance. Connectivity includes multiple digital inputs (AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Optical, Audio USB, I2S) and analog outputs (RCA and optional symmetrical XLR). Dimensions are 280 x 350 x 76 mm, and it weighs approximately 5 kg without power supplies. The Tube DAC is recommended to be paired with Nagra's Classic PSU for best results but is also compatible with the MPS power supply.
