About the CC5

The Magnepan CC5 is a compact planar-magnetic center channel speaker designed to deliver exceptionally clear dialogue and precise imaging in home theater systems. Using a curved, two-way quasi-ribbon midrange/tweeter and quasi-ribbon super-tweeter, it avoids the off-axis frequency response problems common to conventional dynamic center speakers, helping keep voices locked to the center of the screen across a wide listening area. Intended to handle the majority of home theater dialogue and effects, the CC5 is voiced to integrate seamlessly with Magnepan's main speakers and can be combined with front left/right speakers or DWM Bass Panels to achieve full-range Maggie sound from the center channel. Its low-profile, wall-mountable design allows placement below a video display using an appropriate cantilever mount, and it also supports dual-center configurations with Magnepan on-wall models to create stereo-like center imaging. With a 3-ohm load, the CC5 rewards pairing with a stable, high-current amplifier. The CC5 has been discontinued.
