About the Proceed CDP

The Proceed CDP is a high-end compact-disc player from Madrigal Audio Laboratories with a distinctive compact gray chassis and minimalist front panel. It uses a Philips CDM12 transport, dual Burr-Brown PCM58P 18-bit DACs in a dual-mono configuration, Philips SAA7210 digital decoding, and 8× oversampling. The unit provides balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog outputs, coaxial digital output, and coaxial and optical digital inputs that allow its internal DAC to process signals from external digital sources. Its power supply uses separate provisions for the digital and analog sections. The CDP measures approximately 21.4 cm high, 22.7 cm wide, and 33.7 cm deep.
