Madrigal Audio Laboratories was a prominent American HiFi audio company founded by Sanford (Sandy) Berlin in the mid-1980s. The company became known for its acquisition of Mark Levinson, a respected manufacturer of high-end audio equipment, and subsequently managed several prestigious brands such as Audioaccess, Proceed, and Imaging. Madrigal was responsible for the continued production and innovation of Mark Levinson-branded products, gaining a reputation for technical excellence and quality. The company operated for nearly two decades before being acquired by Harman International Group in 2003, at which point its operations were closed down and its brands, most notably Mark Levinson, continued under the Harman umbrella.
