The LUMIN T2 is a high-end network music player and DAC that combines a new-generation streamer platform with a solid CNC-machined aluminium chassis and an internal low-noise, shielded power supply compartment. It supports high-resolution playback up to DSD512 (22.6MHz, 1-bit) and PCM up to 384kHz, 16-32-bit stereo, and can resample to formats up to DSD128 and PCM 384kHz. The digital-to-analog section uses dual ESS SABRE32 ES9028PRO DAC chips in a fully balanced topology, feeding both XLR balanced (6Vrms) and RCA unbalanced (3Vrms) outputs, with separate regulation for digital and analog stages. The T2 incorporates precision 32-bit internal digital volume control and a discrete clock system derived from the flagship X1 for accurate timing and low jitter, allowing it to function as a digital preamp directly into a power amplifier. As a network player, it is Roon Ready and supports UPnP/OpenHome, Spotify Connect, TIDAL with full MQA decoding, Qobuz, TuneIn, and AirPlay, as well as playback from USB storage and networked UPnP/DLNA servers via Gigabit Ethernet. In addition to its analog outputs, the T2 offers USB (native DSD512, PCM 44.1-384kHz) and BNC S/PDIF (PCM 44.1-192kHz, DSD64 DoP) digital outputs. The chassis uses thick CNC-milled aluminium panels, offered in black anodised or raw brushed aluminium, measuring 350mm x 345mm x 60mm and weighing 6kg. The Farrad3 SuperPSU is an aftermarket external power supply designed to replace the internal switching supply of the LUMIN T2, providing a cleaner and more stable DC feed. It is built with low-noise, high-quality discrete regulation and heavy shielding to minimise electrical noise coupling into the digital and analog circuitry, aiming to improve clarity, soundstage stability, and dynamic impact compared to the factory configuration.
