The LinnenberG Telemann is a thoroughly modern DAC-preamplifier featuring one analog input, five digital inputs, and a sophisticated volume control using a logarithmic ladder network with gold contact relays for constant impedance passive volume control. It uses the ESS Sabre ES9028PRO DAC chip and a high-precision quartz master clock with 82 femtoseconds of jitter, ensuring extremely low timing distortion. The device offers seven selectable digital filters to tailor sound to listener preferences. It delivers a dynamic range of 138dB and output levels of 4V single-ended and 8V balanced. The Telemann is praised for its crisp, clean, and highly resolving sound with an explosively holographic and dynamic presentation, making speakers disappear and filling the room with music. It excels with classical, acoustic, and small ensemble recordings and maintains composure at high volumes. The unit is hand-assembled in Germany and designed to provide a balanced, insightful, and engaging listening experience without fatigue.
