The Heaven's Gate is a tube power amplifier from Joule Electra, a high-end mono amp for demanding audiophile systems. It is part of the company's non-OTL tube lineup (distinct from the VZN OTL series), sharing design DNA with the Stargate but positioned as a higher-performance model. Each monoblock uses high-current Russian 6C33C-B output tubes in a parallel single-ended topology, delivering substantial power for medium-efficiency loudspeakers while retaining single-ended tonal richness. Unlike Joule Electra's OTL amplifiers, Heaven's Gate employs output transformers with multiple taps (4, 8, and 16 ohms) for a wide variety of speaker impedances. The circuit favors Class A operation, emphasizing natural harmonic structure and a spacious soundstage, known for warm, tonally dense mids with good bass control.
