About the SA/1

The Threshold SA/1 is a monoblock solid-state power amplifier from Threshold's SA-series of STASIS amplifiers, delivering a rated 160 watts into 8 ohms in Class A operation with very wide bandwidth and low distortion. Designed under Nelson Pass at Threshold, it employs the company's proprietary STASIS output stage and a highly linear voltage amplifier run in Class A, allowing the output transistors to supply high current to demanding loudspeaker loads while maintaining signal accuracy, and doing so without a global feedback loop.
