The Harbeth SHL5+ 40th Anniversary is a special edition of the acclaimed SHL5+ loudspeaker, featuring a three-way vented design with a 200mm Harbeth RADIAL2 bass/mid driver, a 25mm ferro-cooled aluminum dome tweeter, and a 20mm titanium dome supertweeter. It offers a frequency response of 40Hz to 20kHz ±3dB, a nominal impedance of 6 ohms, and a sensitivity of 86dB/1W/1m, making it easy to drive with amplifiers from 25 to 150 watts. The crossover has been redesigned for improved sonic performance, enhancing the integration between bass/midrange and tweeter. The speakers come with limited edition 40th Anniversary badges on the front and back, as well as a metallic black and gold grille badge. Dimensions are approximately 635mm (H) x 322mm (W) x 300mm (D), and each speaker weighs about 15.8 kg (35 lbs). The SHL5+ 40th Anniversary is optimized for use away from walls and is ideally paired with stands that bring the tweeter to ear level (around 16-20 inches). It is known for producing a wide, deep, and immersive soundstage with smooth off-axis response and easy amplifier compatibility.
