About the MA 100
The Grundig MA 100 is a solid-state stereo power amplifier manufactured in Germany between 1980 and 1982. It features an output power of approximately 35 watts per channel into 8 ohms (DIN standard) and up to 50 watts per channel into 4 ohms, with a total harmonic distortion below 0.01%. The amplifier is notable for its electrolytic capacitor-free output stage, which contributes to its sound quality. It has a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz with minimal deviation, a high signal-to-noise ratio (up to 110 dB IEC), and stereo channel separation of 90 dB. The unit includes two pairs of speaker outputs, a line input via DIN connector, and a power display with LED chains. It consumes 240 watts of power and measures 270 x 120 x 220 mm. The MA 100 was originally priced around 550 Deutsche Marks and was available in silver or brown metallic finishes. It does not have remote control functionality. The amplifier is designed to be used with preamplifiers such as the Grundig MXV 100 and is part of the Grundig Mini series. It is no longer manufactured.
