The Grado SR225x Prestige Series represents the successor to the acclaimed SR225e, delivering a signature Grado sound characterized by warm harmonic colors, smooth top-end, excellent dynamics, and a world-renowned mid-range. These open-back, on-ear headphones feature newly redesigned 44mm X Series drivers (4th Generation) with a more powerful magnetic circuit, voice coil with decreased effective mass, and reconfigured diaphragm that improves efficiency and reduces distortion while preserving harmonic integrity. The 'de-stressed' diaphragms provide enhanced inner detail and a more open soundstage. Driver pairs are matched to within 0.05 dB for superior stereo imaging. The headphones include an eight-conductor connecting cable with super-annealed copper wire for improved signal clarity, a 1/4" plug adapter, and adjustable headband with extra cushioning. Each unit is hand-built at Grado Labs in Brooklyn, NY.
