About the Red4

The Grado Labs Red4 is a high output moving iron (MI) cartridge from the Prestige series, engineered for excellent compatibility with various phono stages. It features Grado's patented Optimized Transmission Line (OTL) technology, which minimizes unwanted resonances, lowers distortion, and enhances soundstage depth, height, width, and detail retrieval. The Red4 provides a balanced and controlled sound with warm, punchy midrange and strong low end, characteristic of Grado's house sound. Handcrafted with precise tolerances in the magnetic circuit and Flux-Bridger design for low effective moving mass and superior stereo imaging. The chassis is de-stressed to dissipate resonant frequencies, ensuring pure signal transfer. It uses a four-piece OTL cantilever and is user-replaceable stylus design, compatible with standard half-inch mounting.
