The Focal Chorus 715 is a tall boy floorstanding speaker from the Chorus series, designed with a 2.5-way bass-reflex system. It features two 165 mm (6.5 inch) Polyglass cone woofers for mid-bass and bass frequencies, and a 25 mm (1 inch) titanium dome tweeter for high frequencies. The Polyglass cones combine cellulose fiber with a silica glass resin coating for smooth and accurate sound wave propagation. The tweeter is an inverted dome type with a titanium monoblock diaphragm and polymer damping to ensure linearity up to 22 kHz. The speaker has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, sensitivity of 91.5 dB, and is recommended for amplifiers rated between 25 and 100 watts. Its frequency response is ±3 dB from 49 Hz to 22,000 Hz. The cabinet is finished in black ash or cherry with a highly rigid MDF front baffle and includes a front circular port for bass reflex. Dimensions are 930 x 200 x 270 mm (36.6 x 7.9 x 10.6 inches) and it weighs 14.3 kg (31.5 lbs). The Chorus 715 is known for clear treble, tight bass, and natural midrange, making it a neutral and transparent speaker suitable for both analog and digital sources.
