About the CDV-2
The Dynaco CDV-2 is an upgraded version of the CDV-1, with improvements in the printed circuit layout and the Phillips transport. It uses 6922 tubes in the output stage, which Dynaco claims are more stable than the 6DJ8 tubes used in the CDV-1. The CDV-2 has a higher-grade front panel volume control to reduce mistracking. It is noted for its distinct sound, which is well-suited for smaller musical works but struggles with more complex genres like large orchestral pieces or hard rock due to its transient response and bass characteristics.
