About the Vivaldi Upsampler Plus

The dCS Vivaldi Upsampler Plus is a digital-to-digital converter, network streamer, and upsampler designed as the digital processing hub of the Vivaldi system. It accepts a wide range of digital inputs — including AES/EBU, S/PDIF, USB, and network/UPnP — from the Vivaldi Transport or external sources, and converts them to high-resolution PCM (up to 24-bit/352.8 or 384kS/s DXD) or DSD for output to an external DAC such as the Vivaldi APEX DAC. Using dCS proprietary digital processing and upsampling algorithms, it minimises jitter and optimises signal quality, functioning as the central streaming and processing front end of a Vivaldi stack. The Plus designation refers to a later hardware and software revision of the original Vivaldi Upsampler, adding double-speed DSD output and an improved network and USB board.
