The dCS Vivaldi CD/SACD Transport Mk II is a reference-grade upsampling disc transport designed to partner with the Vivaldi APEX system and deliver state-of-the-art CD and SACD playback. It uses the latest dCS Digital Processing Platform and a high-quality Sound United D&M dual-wavelength SACD mechanism to ensure exceptionally accurate reading of discs and long-term reliability. As an upsampling transport, it plays Red Book CDs in their native 16-bit/44.1kHz format while simultaneously offering upsampling to DSD, DSDx2, or DXD, and plays SACDs in their native DSD format with the option to downsample to 16-bit/44.1kHz. Multiple high-precision digital outputs are provided, including dual AES/EBU for encrypted DSD, DXD, or DSDx2, a separate AES output for 16/44.1, and two S/PDIF outputs (RCA and BNC) that always output 16/44.1, allowing seamless integration with dCS DACs and other high-end digital systems. The Transport Mk II is housed in a meticulously engineered, sculpted aerospace-grade aluminum chassis, available in silver or black, matching the aesthetic and build quality of the rest of the Vivaldi separates.
