The dCS Scarlatti Upsampler converts audio from any digital source to either DSD (1-bit data at 2.822MS/s) or high-resolution PCM (24-bit up to 192kS/s). It features multiple independently selectable digital inputs including USB 2.0 asynchronous input, S/PDIF (RCA, BNC, Toslink), AES/EBU, SDIF-2, and word clock in/out, allowing it to elevate the performance of CD players, digital streamers, and servers. The unit uses a multi-stage Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL) system to control jitter and improve sound quality. It supports upsampling filters selectable by the user and can synchronize audio streams from computers to reduce jitter via USB. The device is available in silver or black finishes and weighs approximately 10.1 kg (22.2 lbs). Dimensions are 465mm (W) x 405mm (D) x 75mm (H). It was designed to be upgradeable via software updates to adapt to new digital formats and features. The Scarlatti Upsampler is often paired with the Scarlatti DAC and transport for a complete high-end digital playback system.
