The dCS Puccini U-Clock is a dedicated Grade 1 master word clock that significantly reduces jitter and enhances the performance of the Puccini CD/SACD player. It features a USB input that accepts up to 24-bit PCM audio at sample rates up to 96kHz (and higher in Class 2 mode), operating in asynchronous mode to provide a highly accurate clock signal to the Puccini player. The U-Clock outputs four word clock signals via 75-ohm BNC connectors and two S/PDIF outputs on RCA connectors, allowing it to serve as a digital audio interface and clock source. It supports 44.1kHz and 48kHz output frequencies and includes a unique dither function that modulates clock edges to improve sound quality by exercising the Puccini's PLL. The unit is available in silver or black finishes and weighs 7.6 kg.
