About the OdysseyX

The Chord Company Odyssey X loudspeaker cable builds on the legacy of the original Odyssey launched in 1998, which set a new standard for neutrality, compatibility, and consistent performance across systems. It uses the same materials as the Rumour X but with heavier gauge 12 AWG silver-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors (3.31 mm²) to deliver superior control, dynamics, definition, and detail. The cable features a twisted pair configuration with XLPE or PTFE insulation, no shielding, and a white PVC outer jacket. With an 8mm diameter, it remains flexible despite being 2mm thicker than Rumour X. The Odyssey X transforms the performance of both floorstanding and standmount loudspeakers, providing a broad and deep soundstage with elegant performances. Conductors are shared with higher-end Epic and Epic XL cables. It remains in production as Chord's popular speaker cable.
