About the B18

The Burmester B18 is a 2.5-way bass reflex floorstanding loudspeaker in a front-firing design, conceived as a comfortably sized yet extremely musical and dynamically engaging speaker. It employs an exclusive Burmester ring radiator tweeter together with two 170mm glass-fiber cone drivers (mid-woofer and low-midrange) in separate enclosures, achieving a wide and precise transmission range of 42Hz to 30kHz. With a nominal load capacity of 120W, 4-ohm impedance, and 88dB sensitivity at 2.83V/1m, the B18 is well suited to a broad range of high-quality amplifiers while offering room-tuning flexibility via a rear bass switch and supplied bass-reflex plugs. The enclosure features a massive, resonance-optimized front baffle and a sandwich-constructed, vibration-damping base, resulting in accurate bass, low cabinet coloration, and a refined, room-friendly footprint.
