About the Edison II
The Brinkmann Audio Edison Mk II Phono Stage is a flagship tube-based phono preamplifier designed for audiophiles seeking the highest level of analog playback. It features three inputs (two RCA/XLR, one RCA), each independently adjustable for gain (16 steps from 49 to 73 dB) and impedance (12 steps from 50 Ohms to 47k Ohms), making it ideal for systems with multiple tonearms and cartridges. The Edison Mk II includes a 1:1 input transformer, selectable mono/stereo and phase/invert functions, and a remote control for user convenience. Its innovative circuitry combines selected NOS Telefunken tubes with bipolar transistors, delivering ultra-low distortion, wide frequency response, and a neutral, dynamic sound signature. The robust construction includes a granite base and a separate power supply, ensuring mechanical and electrical isolation for optimal performance.
