About the Basis
The ASR Basis is a solid-state phono preamplifier for moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges. It provides adjustable gain and cartridge loading, with a low-noise power supply and an acrylic-glass enclosure. Manufacturer information distinguishes the standard Basis from the Basis Exclusive, which adds features such as an external battery power supply and balanced connections; those Exclusive specifications should not be attributed to this model.
