The iPod classic 160GB (Late 2009) model features a 160GB hard drive that can store up to 40,000 songs in 128-Kbps AAC format, 25,000 iPod-viewable photos, and 200 hours of video. It has a 2.5-inch diagonal color LCD with LED backlight and a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels at 163 ppi. The device supports multiple audio formats including AAC, MP3, Audible, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and WAV. It includes a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery providing up to 36 hours of music playback and 6 hours of video playback. The iPod classic has a click wheel for navigation, a hold switch, and connects via a dock connector and 3.5-mm headphone jack. It was designed with environmental considerations such as arsenic-free display glass and a recyclable aluminum and stainless steel enclosure. The device was discontinued in 2014 without replacement.
