About the DA-P20
The Teac DA-P20 is a portable DAT recorder designed for high-quality digital audio recording and playback. It supports both analog and digital inputs and outputs, including balanced XLR analog inputs and coaxial digital I/O. The unit records at 44.1kHz and 48kHz sampling frequencies with a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB, and a dynamic range of 85dB, delivering realistic fidelity with minimal noise, distortion, wow, and flutter. It features a rotary head mechanism, supports 2-channel stereo recording, and offers 120 minutes of recording time at standard tape speed. The DA-P20 includes a headphone jack with level control, an LCD display showing elapsed time, remaining time, and program time, and a built-in microphone amplifier for direct mic connection. It is powered by a rechargeable battery or AC adapter and comes with accessories such as the PS-P20 battery charger and BP-P20 battery. The compact dimensions (243 x 158 x 45 mm) and lightweight design (1.4 kg) make it highly portable, suitable for professional and home studio use.
