About the DL2
The Amcron DL-2 preamp is a high-quality audio controller/preamp designed for professional and audiophile use. It features a frequency response from 10 Hz to 50 kHz ±0.1 dB, input impedance of 100k Ω, and a gain of 20 dB ±0.2 dB. The tone controls allow ±15 dB adjustment across bass (20 Hz, 40 Hz, 80 Hz), midrange (400 Hz, 800 Hz, 1.6 kHz), and treble (5 kHz, 10 kHz, 20 kHz) frequencies. The unit includes a power module with nine 120-volt AC outlets (seven switched, two unswitched) capable of delivering up to 20 amps, sufficient to power multiple amplifiers. It is known for its durability, precise RIAA phono response, and extensive control options, including the ability to daisy chain multiple units for computer control. The DL-2 was highly regarded in the 1980s and is now discontinued.
