About the Pandora Eclipse

The Pandora Eclipse is a vacuum tube DAC with one USB and three SPDIF inputs, designed with high-quality construction including an all-aluminum chassis, stainless steel Faraday cage for digital section isolation, multiple power transformers in a stainless steel enclosure, and multiple regulation stages. It uses asynchronous USB transfer licensed from Gordon Rankin / Wavelength Technologies with ultra-low jitter fixed-frequency crystal clock adjacent to the DAC, achieving jitter levels over 100 times lower than previous USB solutions. USB supports Class 1 audio up to 96kHz/24bit and Class 2 up to 192kHz/24bit. SPDIF/AES inputs feature unique jitter reduction technology with performance on par with asynchronous USB. The USB input is galvanically isolated via optical couplers to prevent computer noise infiltration. The analog output stage uses exotic Stealth capacitors for improved low frequency response and enhanced sonic clarity. Mechanical isolation includes Harmonic Resolutions Systems' Nimbus Couplers replacing rubber feet, isolation mounts for transformers, enhanced ventilation, and additional damping materials. A single point ground system grounds transformer cases for noise reduction. The Pandora Eclipse is the ultimate expression of the Pandora DAC line, offering a much lower noise floor, greater clarity, openness, and immediacy, making it an ideal match for Aesthetix preamps and power amplifiers.
