The Aesthetix Calypso Eclipse is a premium all-tube linestage preamplifier designed for audiophiles and home cinema enthusiasts. It features fully balanced differential circuitry with the ability to internally balance single-ended inputs, resulting in superior common mode signal rejection and cleaner sound. The volume control uses a discrete switched resistor network with 88 steps of 1 dB each, maximizing resolution at any listening level. The Eclipse version incorporates advanced Stealth capacitors, including .22uF/600v Stealth coupling capacitors between the gain and output stages and Stealth copper foil 4uF/400v capacitors in the output stage, enhancing low frequency response. Additional upgrades include hand-adjusted high frequency tuning capacitors for a tight ±0.1 dB frequency response, mechanical isolation mounts for transformers to reduce vibration, enhanced power supply with improved ventilation and noise reduction, and Harmonic Resolutions Systems Nimbus Couplers replacing standard rubber feet to lower noise floor and increase spatial clarity. The chassis is made of rigid, acoustically inert aluminum and is available in black or silver finishes. The unit supports home theatre bypass mode, absolute phase selection via front panel or remote, and comes with a full function remote control. It weighs approximately 18.1 kg and measures 457 mm wide, 111 mm high, and 457 mm deep. The Calypso Eclipse is part of the Saturn Series and represents the highest level of refinement in the Calypso line, with a factory upgrade path from standard or Signature versions.
