Mitsubishi Diatone was a high-fidelity audio brand and division of Mitsubishi Electric, established in 1945 initially to produce monitor speakers for NHK, the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation. Renowned for its innovative loudspeaker designs and technology, Diatone achieved acclaim with products like the P-610 and the monumental D-160 subwoofer. While renowned throughout the late 20th century for both consumer and professional speakers, the brand ceased most operations in 1999 and today is primarily used for select car audio systems in the Japanese domestic market.
