About the Varial
The Varial interconnect cable is Zu Audio's premier product designed for single-ended analog audio line-level applications. It features silver alloy conductors arranged in a multiple conductor exclusively ZuB3 geometry, which enhances signal transmission by increasing immunity to RF interference while lowering reactance. The cable uses high-quality materials including pure silver deposited over copper strands, virgin Teflon insulation, and a tight braid tin-plated copper outer screen. It is directional, with a V-block to indicate signal flow, and requires approximately 400 hours of burn-in with normal music playback for optimal performance. The Varial has undergone several iterations since its introduction in 2001, with improvements in shielding, cable geometry, and connectors, culminating in the Mk.III version with gold-plated locking RCA connectors and enhanced copper/tin shielding. It is highly regarded for its neutrality, detail, transparency, and refinement in audio reproduction, making it a top choice for audiophiles seeking high fidelity interconnects.
