The Zu Audio Soul Supreme Mk.I is a high-efficiency loudspeaker system built around the critical human voice frequency range (A1, 55Hz through A6 and harmonics up to approximately 10kHz). It features a 5th generation 10" paper-cored nanotech full-range driver with a maximal motor for expanded dynamic contrast and reduced harmonic distortion, lightweight neutrally-hung voice coil assembly, diamagnetic shorting assembly for dynamic damping, and nanotech-impregnated paper cones for wide bandwidth. The driver is paired with a Radian 850 based tweeter networked with ClarityCap MR capacitors and Mills MRA-12 resistors, all interconnected with Zu Event internal cabling. The cabinet uses a heavy aluminum alloy frame with bonded and riveted yoke/magnet/top-plate assembly, and the tweeter mass serves as a stressed member to reduce cabinet resonance and electromechanical feedback. The speaker is housed in a Mid-Century inspired obelisk cabinet with rounded edges (in some finishes) and offers a 5-way ZuB3 combo input connection system. It is capable of being driven by low-powered amplifiers (as little as 2-8 watts for average rooms) and can handle up to 300 watts maximum music input power. The Soul Supreme delivers quick, deep, articulate bass performance aided by ZuGriewe electroacoustic loading technology, originally developed for high-performance engine exhaust systems. Sensitivity is approximately 101 dB-SPL at 1 watt/1 meter, with a nominal impedance of 16 ohms and a minimum of 9.5 ohms at 250 Hz. The frequency response spans roughly 30 Hz to 20 kHz. The speaker is designed and made in the USA by Zu Audio in Ogden, Utah.
