The Zu Audio Definition MkIV is a high-fidelity floorstanding loudspeaker designed around the critical human voice frequency range (55Hz to approximately 10kHz) using a nanotech 10" paper cone full-range driver derived from the flagship Dominance model. It features a Radian 850-based tweeter assembly, a completely new cabinet design with expanded materials, and Zu-Griewe acoustic design principles for internal damping. The system includes a built-in Hypex 400UcD V5 internal bass amplifier driving a 12" subwoofer for deep bass extension down to 14 Hz, with user controls for parametric tuning of the bass. The speaker presents an 8 ohm impedance to the amplifier via parallel-wired 16 ohm full-range drivers, with a latent 32 ohm option for specific amplifiers. The cabinet is super structured with reinforced baffle and base, engineered for in-field serviceability, and uses Event B3 based cable harness and ZuB3 interface via speakON 8-pole connectors. The design emphasizes tonal richness, density, dynamic range, and seamless integration of full-range drivers and subwoofer, delivering stunning dynamics, resolution, and a natural, effortless sound.
