About the Passion CDT450

The YBA Passion CDT450 is a dedicated, top-loading CD transport in YBA’s Passion series. It uses a high-end Philips CD-PRO IIm mechanism with YBA’s patented Blue Diode® system and has no internal DAC or analogue audio outputs; it must be connected to an external DAC or an amplifier/preamplifier with digital inputs. Its five digital outputs— I²S, AES/EBU, coaxial S/PDIF, BNC S/PDIF, and optical Toslink—provide broad DAC compatibility. The transport offers selectable SRC upsampling to 24-bit/96 kHz or 24-bit/192 kHz, with the manufacturer information noting that SRC functionality is available through the I²S output. Construction includes a natural-aluminium chassis, a linear power supply with a high-performance R-Core transformer, front-panel control, and remote control. The CDT450 remains listed on YBA’s official product website, so it is not treated as discontinued.
