The YBA Genesis S2 Streamer DAC is a high-end network music player, streamer, and DAC built on a closed, audio-optimized Android platform. It combines streaming services, local file playback, and DAC functionality in one component, with a built-in 1TB NVMe SSD for internal music storage and playback. YBA states that the S2 uses dual AKM AK4497EQ DACs, FPGA-based processing, KDS crystal oscillators, Panasonic capacitors, and separate power supplies for the Android and DAC sections. It is designed primarily for use with an external preamp or integrated amplifier, but it also offers digital volume control for direct connection to power amplifiers or active speakers. The unit is controlled by a 6-inch 1080p touchscreen or the Eddict Player app.
