The YBA 1 Alpha HC is a high-end solid-state stereo power amplifier emphasizing minimal signal path components and robust current delivery. Designed by Yves-Bernard André, it features a dual-mono architecture with separate power supplies and 60,000µF total capacitance. The class Alpha design combines a class-A driver stage with class-A/B output for efficient operation while maintaining sonic purity. Notable for its ability to drive extremely low-impedance loads (1800W into 0.7Ω), it uses no series passive components in the signal path.
