Introduced in November 2013, the YBA Passion CD430 CD Player was designed for users seeking a Passion series CD player rather than just a transport. It features a top-loading Philips CD PRO llm mechanism with patented Blue Diode® design and incorporates a Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC. The front panel has four rocker switches controlling On/Standby, Stop/Play/Pause, Previous/Next track, and Source selection. Playback starts by placing the disc and clamp on the platter and sliding the door slightly. It supports CD, CD-R, and CD-RW discs and includes a USB 2.0 high-speed input supporting up to 192kHz sampling rate. Outputs include 1 RCA, 1 balanced XLR, and 1 digital coaxial with a dedicated on/off switch. The player uses a linear power supply with a high-performance UI-Core transformer (160VA) and is housed in a natural aluminum chassis. Dimensions are 430 x 388 x 118 mm, and it weighs 12.8 kg. The player delivers a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB, frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz (-0.5 dB), and very low distortion (THD+N of 0.0015% at 16-bit and 0.0008% at 24-bit). It is noted for its soft yet extremely precise sound, especially with instruments like violins, providing a credible and timeless listening experience.
