The Yaqin Audio SD-CD3 is a stereo vacuum-tube buffer processor, not a CD player. It is designed to be connected between a line-level source—such as a CD/DVD player, streamer, computer, MP3 player, or other audio source—and an integrated amplifier or receiver. Its cathode-follower circuit is intended to add tube coloration while providing approximately unity voltage gain and a high input impedance. The unit uses two 6N8P dual-triode tubes, which are generally compatible with 6SN7-family tubes subject to the manufacturer’s requirements.
