About the SD-CD3
The Yaqin SD-CD3 is a high-end stereo tube buffer processor employing two 6N8P tubes configured as cathode followers to enhance audio systems by adding tube warmth and reducing the workload on receivers or amplifiers. It outputs the same voltage as it receives with a voltage gain close to 1, improving sound quality by making speakers sound warmer and finer. The unit is designed to be installed between an audio source (such as solid-state CD/DVD players, MP3 players, iPods, electric guitars, or computer audio outputs) and a receiver or amplifier. It features a robust aluminum chassis with a steel heavy-duty frame and a logo window. The power transformers are made with silicon steel sheets and high-quality oxygen-free enameled copper wire. The SD-CD3 supports dual power supply voltages (115VAC for North America and 220VAC for Asia and Europe). Tubes can be replaced with 6SN7 types if desired. The device offers low distortion (≤0.03% at 1kHz), a high signal-to-noise ratio (>75 dB), and a wide frequency response (10Hz to 100kHz at -0.1dB). It consumes 15W of power and measures 17cm (W) x 20cm (D) x 12cm (H). The package includes the SD-CD3 processor with two tubes, a power cable, and a manual. This product is currently available and not discontinued.
