The Yaqin MC-13S is an upgraded version of the MC-10L, delivering 40 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a Class A push-pull design to reduce distortion. It features an analog VU meter on the front panel to monitor output levels, ultra-linear push-pull amplifier topology, and uses high-quality output transformers made with Japanese silicon steel sheets and enameled wire for wide dynamic range. The amplifier employs audiophile-grade capacitors and precision metal resistors dedicated to audio frequencies. The chassis is robust with a stainless steel top, steel bottom, and aluminum panel and bezels. It supports 4 switchable line inputs and offers output impedance options of 4Ω and 8Ω. Tubes include 4 x EL34B/6CA7 (or 6CA7T in some versions), 2 x 12AX7, and 2 x 12AU7. The frequency response ranges from 10Hz to 76kHz, with total harmonic distortion ≤0.9% at 28W and signal-to-noise ratio above 85dB (A-weighted). The amplifier weighs approximately 18-22 kg and consumes about 220-240W of power. It is known for its high-quality sound and excellent transformer construction, making it competitive with amplifiers in the - range despite a lower price point.
