The Yamamoto Sound Craft A-011 is a pure Class-A single-ended stereo power amplifier using 2A3 output tubes. It features a minimalist circuit with one vacuum tube per channel for both driver and output stages, enabling direct connection from a CD player for optimal sound quality through just two tubes per channel. It includes series input volumes and supports connection to preamplifiers, analog equalizers, or other sources. The amplifier uses 717A driver tubes and an '80' rectifier tube, with DC ignition for the heaters using double-wave rectification and low-loss Schottky diodes to minimize noise. High-quality components include a toroidal power transformer, high-beam cut-core output transformer, selected film capacitors, and premium resistors like DALE wirewound types. It delivers an energetic, powerful sound with low impedance drive capability. Introduced in 2009, it remains listed for sale but newer models like A-011SS exist.
