About the M-5000

The Yamaha M5000 is a flagship stereo power amplifier that delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, both at 0.07% THD. In bridged mono mode, it outputs 400 watts into 8 ohms. It features a fully balanced, floating design with a massive toroidal transformer and a 3 mm-thick pure brass base for vibration suppression. The amplifier uses MOSFET output devices and a symmetrical layout to isolate channels, minimize signal path, and reduce impedance for high-fidelity sound. It includes both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, and is designed for integration with Yamaha's C-5000 preamplifier for a complete balanced signal chain.
