The Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE (Stereo Preamp – Special Edition) is a line-level preamplifier introduced in 2009 and continuously refined. It is engineered for audiophiles seeking transparency, low noise, and precise imaging. The STP-SE is available in black or silver and offers several upgrade paths, including Stage 1 and Stage 2 enhancements. The base model features Kimber Kable TCSS wiring, Wyred 4 Sound Low ESR 'Super Cap' capacitors, and a robust, triple-ripple-reduction power supply with over 164,000 µF of capacitance. The preamp is fully balanced from input to output, supports both RCA and XLR connections, and includes a discrete resistor ladder volume control for accuracy and transparency.
