About the 211 C Monoblocks
The Wyetech 211 C Monoblocks are single-ended triode (SET) tube amplifiers designed for audiophile performance. Each monoblock uses two GE NOS VT4-C 211 output tubes, a 5687WB JAN NOS Philips USA tube for the voltage stage, and a 12B4A JAN NOS GE USA tube for the driver stage. The amplifiers feature Svetlana 6D22S high current high voltage rectifiers with a slow 30-second turn-on to protect components. They deliver 36 Watts RMS power output with dynamic headroom up to 72 Watts, and have a frequency response linear within ±0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 24 kHz. Input impedance is 28 kOhms, with gain options of 28.5 dB (>0.65 VRMS high) and 23.0 dB (>1.2 VRMS low). The amplifiers are non-inverting in absolute phase and include an internal universal voltage selector for 115/230 Volts at 50/60 Hz. Each monoblock weighs approximately 80 lbs (31 kg) and measures 16.5" W x 24" L x 10" H. The power consumption is about 385 Watts (510 VA) per monoblock. The power down sequence includes a fixed time delay to mute speakers silently. The tubes are pre-burned in for about 10 hours and reach nominal performance after approximately 200 hours of use. The bias voltage for the 211 tubes should be around 70 Volts DC, with fault indicators for out-of-range bias. Warranty coverage ended for new sales after January 2022 due to the passing of Roger Hebert, but prior sales retain warranty coverage (1 year for tubes, 5 years parts and labor for components).
